Creating a Character: An Actor's JourneyWHEN: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12 via Zoom
WHAT: How does an actor read a script and embody a script? Join actor Tyler Herman as you learn how to use an actor's tools to analyze Last of the Whyos by Barbara Wiechmann. Classes will also include guest Q&As with the actors involved in Spooky Action's 2015 production, and culminate in watching a recording of the live show. HOW MUCH: Four Sessions - $120 |
Scouring the Script: The Designer's ProcessWHEN: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30, 6/2, 6/9, 6/16, 6/23 via Zoom
WHAT: Join Tyler Herman to delve into how a designer approaches analyzing the script of The Wedding Dress by Nelson Rodrigues. You will learn script analysis techniques, and insider tips in adapting a work from the page to Spooky's stage. Classes will also include guest Q&As with the designers involved in Spooky Action's 2014 production, and culminate in watching a recording of the live show. HOW MUCH: Four Sessions - $120 |

He has taught for Theater J, The Actors' Center, Brown University, Templeton Academy, Imagination Stage, Faction of Fools Theatre, and more.
