Creating a Character: An Actor's Journey

WHEN: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12 via Zoom

WHAT: 
How does an actor read a script and embody a script? Join actor Tyler Herman as you learn how to use an actor's tools to analyze Last of the Whyos by Barbara Wiechmann. Classes will also include guest Q&As with the actors involved in Spooky Action's 2015 production, and culminate in watching a recording of the live show.

Scouring the Script: The Designer's Process

WHEN: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30, 6/2, 6/9, 6/16, 6/23 via Zoom

WHAT: Join Tyler Herman to delve into how a designer approaches analyzing the script of The Wedding Dress by Nelson Rodrigues. You will learn script analysis techniques, and insider tips in adapting a work from the page to Spooky's stage. Classes will also include guest Q&As with the designers involved in Spooky Action's 2014 production, and culminate in watching a recording of the live show.

Tyler Herman is a brother, a son, an actor, a director, a husband, a writer, a teacher. He has taught for Theater J, The Actors' Center, Brown University, Templeton Academy, Imagination Stage, Faction of Fools Theatre, and more. He has also acted at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Theater J, Imagination Stage, Avant Bard, Adventure Theatre-MTC, Faction of Fools Theatre Company, and more.
